Bio-Thermo microchips read the temperature of the animal in which they are implanted!
The Bio-Thermo LifeChips are made by Destron, a leader in RFID
technology (Radio Frequency Identification). Bio-Thermo LifeChips are
very small--about the size of a grain of rice. Each chip is assigned a
15 digit, unique ID code which is then registered in a database such as
a livestock registry and stays associated with your animal for its
entire life.
A LifeChip is powered by energy in the radio signal from Destron’s
Pocket Reader which activates the microchip. And once the signal is
received by the chip, a sensor sends back the ID code along with the
animal’s temperature. Only Destron Pock-Readers can read animal
temperature info from Bio-Thermo LifeChips.
